  • Expectation is that this candidate has 7-10 years of network engineering experience at a senior capacity within a mission-critical environment and a current CCIE certification (written is OK, prefer full CCIE).


Desired Experience

  • Expert level knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches, Wireless, IPSec, S2S VPN, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, VoIP, multicast, and QoS, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP.
  • Solid experience across the spectrum of Cisco hardware including Nexus platform.
  • Exposure and solid understanding of IPv6.
  • Ability to perform complex trouble shooting and problem resolution on LAN/WAN networks.
  • Expert level knowledge of structured cabling and standards and related physical layer components.
  • Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with highly complex technical problems.
  • Ability to work with peer IT groups (Operations, Systems, Security, IPT, etc.) to complete large multi-disciplined projects and resolve support incidents.
  • Solid communication and technical writing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
  • This position will require some on-call duty and occasional off hours and/or weekend work.
  • Experience supporting converged networks supporting voice/video, specifically Avaya IPT highly preferred.
