Job Description:

This is a long term consulting opportunity with our direct client in Woodcliff Lake, NJ for an Intermediate Atlassian Specialist

Duties:

The individual hired for this position will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of a product or component release, coordinating with different teams. Specifically, this person will work with Product Owner, Project Managers, and/or Technical Lead, and if needed, act as the Product Owner and/or Tech Lead, to customize or upgrade a product/component, primarily Atlassian JIRA and Confluence that is used across the enterprise. Understand the product technically and functionally, help the teams with Change management process, documenting/defining processes as and when required. While serving as a Subject Matter Expert for Atlassian toolset, helping the Product Owner with planning, directing and coordinating release and change activities, IT Operations, and work with other Project teams to ensure that the systems run and interface smoothly, while ensures adherence to organizational/departmental policies and procedures. During the development and the deployment of the solutions for Confluence and JIRA. Participate, understand and provide feedback on any application or infrastructure changes Coordinate Change Requests, follow up and facilitate until Changes are implemented Troubleshooting efforts in production environment while assisting support team Perform UAT for major changes and sign off Required

Skills:

• 3+ years of administration experience on JIRA, 1+ year(s) on other Atlassian tools • Certification on Atlassian Confluence and/or JIRA a huge plus • Good understating of JSPs, and Java technologies • Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language), a plus • Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL Database administration skills are preferred • Experience with LDAP connection configuration, authentication & integration • Experience with SQL • Experience working with enterprise systems and processes (e.g. Change Management, Separation of Duties) • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: Scrum and or Kanban • Knowledge of helpdesk systems like JIRA Service Desk and/or Service Now to drive tasks and support issues • Strong problem solving and analytical skills • Organized and capable of meeting multiple, concurrent deadlines • Ability to use a wide variety of technologies and services • Have a high level of curiosity and the ability to ask probing questions. • Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
