This is a long term consulting opportunity with our direct client in Tarrytown, NY for a strong Oracle HRIS Developer/Analyst.  The client is migrating from Oracle EBS HR to Workday HCM.

This consultant will be working as the Oracle resource who will assist during the Workday HCM project implementation.  This individual will work closely with the workstream leads to support the data conversion, integration and reporting initiatives associated with the project. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the conversion of Oracle EBS HR data out of the current Oracle R12.2.4 legacy system to the to-be system, Workday, by creating SQL scripts and mapping data according to vendor-provided template formats for Workday.
    • Resource will participate in the analysis, requirements, and testing phases for conversion through the duration of the project.
    • Perform mock conversions and support testing of converted data
  • Development for the Oracle EBS HR function including data extractions and inbound/outbound interfaces to third party vendors requiring the following knowledge:
    • Extensive knowledge of the functionality and table structures of Oracle EBS HR (HR, CWB, Payroll, OTL) modules
    • Experience integrating data from third-party systems with Oracle with good understanding of APIs
    • Familiarity with workflow configuration and troubleshooting
    • Experience with personalization/customization and utilizing Oracle API's and creating WebADI integrators
    • Understanding of Work structures, multiple business groups and the impact throughout all Oracle eBusiness Suite
  • Utilize internal ServiceNow Help Desk system for tracking requests and changes
  • Experience opening, managing, and resolving Oracle SR's with Oracle Support
  • Understanding of IT SOX controls and change management process
  • Develop and deliver requirements specifications, technical designs, data mapping document and process flows as required.
  • Ownership of system unit testing and integration testing including the documentation of test plans, results and signoff
  • Responsible for status reporting to management and IT Leadership
  • Work with IT Leadership to understand priorities and meet deadlines and goals.
  • Identification of performance tuning/improvement opportunities
  • Provide post go live / hyper-care support with ability to troubleshoot issues with critical thinking in pressure; ability to foresee upcoming issues and risks and establish mitigation plans to address situations

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR Information System Management experience; Workday HR system knowledge, process, procedure and best practices
  • SQL*Plus, PL/SQL, Oracle Workflow and XML Publisher report skills required
  • 7+ years of experience providing strong technical and functional support for Oracle HCM, OTL, Payroll ERP modules (R12.2.x)
  • Unix shell scripting and JDeveloper skills a plus
  • Excellent communications skills are essential
  • Experience facilitating and tracking testing sessions (SIT, UAT, etc.)
  • Technical expertise with application development to assist with the design and specification development desired
  • Previous Oracle Cloud implementation experience a plus
