Program Test Manager

SUMMARY

• The Program Test Manager’s key responsibility is to provide overall governance and management of all end to end testing requirements for multiple projects across a mixed estate of integration and standalone software platforms as well as SAP ECC.
• They will take ownership of the Test Strategy and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure we are adhering with Best Practices when performing all testing phases to protect the BAU environment.
• They will work with the Business and Vendors to build a Test Asset that will provide multiple benefits in the future i.e. reduced testing windows, reduced costs, consistent high quality and reduced leakage of incidents to production post go live.
• They will take full ownership of all Testing Tools to ensure they are fit for purpose and made available to inflight projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for the program’s end to end testing processes and governance for multiple projects and contribute to BAU continuous improvements.
• Overall Testing Governance
• Manage Vendor Test Factory team to deliver on time a high standard of testing to protect the BAU environment
• Risk and issues management
• Owner of the Test Strategy documentation including engagement with Contributor’s to develop, implement and maintain the Testing Strategy for all project improvements moving forward
• Provide Test Governance services for all testing in BAU & projects including Performance Testing.
• Ownership and Administration of HPQC, providing required support to Projects for HPQC users setup and folder structure
• Coordinate with Project Test Managers for review and approvals of test deliverables as per DRM
• Engaging with project test managers to ensure that testing requirements are understood and met
• Review and approval of test governance documentation including Test Plans, Reports & RTM etc.
• Management and engagement with Testing factories to support testing activities
• Ensure availability of robust tools for testing
• Support the preparation of daily status report, defects, run rates etc.
• Management of RAG Status reporting to display the health of the Program and full risk and escalation management
• Co-ordinate with Vendor Management to ensure all our Testing requirements are met within the current SOW and contracts
• Agree principal SLAs/KPIs with Test Factory provider to ensure on time, high quality delivery and customer satisfaction is agreed.
• Develop a Test Factory approach to deliver a Testing Asset.

SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

• Excellent leadership and organisational capabilities to drive Testing as a valued asset
• Advanced knowledge of Software Testing theories and practices
• Good understanding of Project Management Methodologies and how these apply to testing
• Good knowledge of business processes and computer systems across multiple technology platforms
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
• Ability to manage up and down including confident interaction with senior stakeholders
• Ability to multi task and execute activities with minimum supervision in a high pressure global environment
• Experience of working within FMCG, Personal Hygiene and Healthcare

TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Educated in Business discipline or Computer Science to degree level, or equivalent experience
• Expertise in test management of SAP Reporting Systems
• Microsoft Office Suite to Proficient level.
• Program and Project Management qualifications e.g. Prince2, PMI PMP
• Certification in Testing
• ITIL V3 to Intermediate level.
